The State Parties of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction, or the CWC, agree not to develop, produce, acquire, stockpile, retain, transfer, or use chemical weapons. State Parties also are to destroy their chemical weapons and chemical weapons production facilities and not use riot control agents in warfare.
